He certainly does not lack stage experience, Surfer Joe, who for quite some time with an average of 150 concerts a year, spread over half the globe, is committed to giving surf music its rightful place on stage. With a program that consists of both classics from the genre and a selection from his own repertoire, he shows that the genre that was the hype in the nightlife scene in the ’60s is still’ alive and kicking ‘even in 2019. His firmly reverb-immersed guitar work is supported by two other experience experts from the genre: Jonpaul Balak (US) on bass and Pieter Dedoncker (B) on drums.
