SOWHAT @ De Regentenkamer

SOWHAT is the name of a new (November 2018) jazz quartet, formed by the following enthusiastic jazz musicians:

Henk Vincenten – Saxen
Joost Italianer – Keys
Dick Pluim – Bas
Hugo Jonker – Percussion

The starting point for this quartet was a workshop on Ameland, in November 2018. In the meantime the first rehearsals have taken place and the mutual “vibes” have been confirmed.
Accessible swing is interspersed with generous portions of Latin, and ballads that “hit” you. Also blues and pop, and more funky performances are discussed, in short, a wide range of styles.
The collective background of this foursome is broad: all have experiences in pop, soul and jazz bands, not to mention big bands. And you can hear that, every piece that comes along “swings” …
