Risky Roads @ The Waterhole
The Utrecht band Risky Roads makes ripping blues that unites the best of classic rock and pop. With their first EP “Risky Roads” (2019) in their pocket, the band is touring the country this spring. The Netherlands can no longer escape the melodic blues guitar lines, the air-shifting rhythm section and the mega vocal range. The amplifiers go to “BLAZEN” position.
The band was founded and founded by students of the NPAC (Dutch Pop Academy) in 2017. The band members Robin Buijs (Vocalen), Melle Eulderink (Guitar), Kevin Clerence (Bass guitar) and Joep Lensen (Drums) have already achieved a lot in the short time that they have existed. At the end of January (2018) the band won the audience prize and the jury prize for the preliminaries of the “Steenworp” band competition. They also won the 3rd prize at the “Meet The Pros” competition and have already played on well-known venues such as: Tivoli Vredenburg, P3 and Db’s Utrecht. The band mainly plays their own material, but plays covers by Joe Bonamassa, James Brown and John Mayer, among others, to add a recognizable touch to their set. March 8, 2019 they launched their first EP in a bomb-filled Azotod and May 31 the band opens the Vestrock festival on Mainstage. In short, our little frog country is far from finished with Risky Roads …
