Niko makes danceable indie rock of the most romantic kind, peppered with angular riffs and sunny choruses. Frontman Nik van den Berg cunningly sparkles the sparkling melodies with his light-cynical, humorous lyrics.

That recalcitrant character was already fully present when Niko started as a solo project in Los Angeles with the EP You Might Like It, But I Might Just Hate It. After playing an abundance of shows – in student rooms, concert halls and festivals such as Grasnapolsky, Motel Mozaique and The Life I Live – there is a new EP on the shelf that will be released in August.
