Started as a “party” – a bunch of blues and pop musicians from Nijmegen who felt like an evening of guilty pleasures, or Bob Dylan – Hard Rain has become a band with a permanent place and a strong following in the Nijmegen music scene. The band focuses on Dylan’s electrical work from the sixties and seventies, but also plays very early as well as very recent Dylan songs that were made hits by others. For Hard Rain, Dylan is not a prophet or high priest, and a performance by Hard Rain is not a tribute or high mass, but still a party.
